We've gotten a lot of really great feedback from our players. Here are just a few of the things they've said about Across the Sea of Stars:
I had a great time!
[My plot twist] was an "interesting" touch. This shocked BOTH of us, let me tell you!
I thought this was an absolutely brilliant game and I had a great time playing.
This was a simply amazing game in its complexity and richness.
I particularly enjoyed the "tales within the tale". They added so much to the experience both in the additional roleplaying experience and in the insights to the main story. The game borrowed from many classic SF sources and I really enjoyed being able to play out bits of some of my favorite stories.
I really enjoyed how the game brought together long term progression and goal oriented play with climactic, short, and diverse Tales. I also liked being able to explore a ton of different sci-fi ideas and scenarios, which would have made other games feel unfocused but worked well here.
I was Kam!Ran in Across the Sea of Stars Saturday afternoon and evening, which was awesome. Star-crossed lovers, in more than one sense of the word!
I was in Across the Sea of Stars. I was a bit nervous about committing 10 hours to that, but it was well worth it.
The game had the right blend of good old sf pulp and sf sense of wonder.
This was a great game. I was nervous initially since it took up over 2 slots on a Saturday, but the game was great! I love the tales concept and the Sci-Fi flavor of everything was really neat. The GMs and writers did an amazing job to keep it interesting and fun.
Thanks again for writing and running that fantastic game!
This now ranks as one of my all-time best games.
I'm going to remember this game for a long time.
Thank you for the game! I had a great time and the world was incredibly engaging.
We've had five great groups of players, and they've really made the games stellar.
We're also thrilled that several writers who played in Across the Sea of Stars went on to write their own wonderful and engaging Tale-based LARPs, inspired by their experience in this game. Jennifer and Jordan have also written several more Tale LARPs set in the Across the Sea of Stars universe.
