Game History
or The Page Where More Names Are Named
This page focuses on the various runs of the game. More details about the creative forces involved in writing and improving the LARP are described elsewhere.
Our horde players have always been brilliant, but they'd be a lot less interesting without the cast of players representing the crew of the ship. We've had a lot of impressive players over the years, across a lot of runs of the game. We love our players, in the cast and the Horde. We'd like to thank all the players, in all the runs, who've turned our ideas into sheer brilliant insanity and chaos. We love this game!
There have also been a large crew of GMs involved in this LARP. There have been many others who've been part of the organizational process as well.
Run 13: Intercon P (February 20, 2016)
The Intercon P run of Collision Imminent! was organized by Jeff Diewald, Susan Giusto, Tim Lasko, Charles McCutcheon, and Barry Tannenbaum of TNT Productions. We were in a new hotel, with an interesting (and narrow) new function space. We also experimented with using text messages from Engineering to the command officers remaining on the ship; it worked better than we expected. There was a full crew (despite two late drops) and a big Horde, including three younger players. We saw some very clever teamwork by the crew of the ship, solving problems in new and insightful ways.

The Intercon M run of Collision Imminent! was organized by Jeff Diewald, Susan Giusto, Tim Lasko, Charles McCutcheon, and Barry Tannenbaum of TNT Productions along with Uncle Don Ross and Karen C. It all came together on a Saturday afternoon. When you have a talented and creative group of GMs, it makes running the game easy. We love running this game, and it was just a pleasure to watch the wild events in the Evacuation Lounge brought to life by a full crew, a full Horde, a full GMing crew, all creating a room full of chaos and laughter. This game is always amazing and amusing to run.

Run 11: Fabulous Consequences (November 25, 2012)
The Fabulous Consequences run of Collision Imminent! was organized by Sue Lee, Elina Gouliou, and Mike Snowden, once again bringing the game to the UK. On a Sunday morning in Christchurch, Dorset, yet another crew did their best to deal with all the wacky and wonderful passengers aboard the ship. It's great to see people who played the game before coming back to help GM it. We don't have all the crew details, unfortunately.
Run 10: SLAW 2012 (November 10, 2012)
The SLAW 2012 run of Collision Imminent! was organized by Jeff Diewald, Tim Lasko, Charles McCutcheon, and Barry Tannenbaum of TNT Productions, along with Joshua Rachlin, who can help us run games any time. Uncle Don Ross brought Karen C. with him to help run the horde room, and it was brilliant. It was fun to go back to WPI again, and there were a whole lot of new LARPers filling up the game.
Sarah Judd was our SFS Live Action Weekend 2012 con chair, making sure we had great space for the game, on the top floor of Salisbury Hall. It was a great crowd, in a nice big space. We really appreciate Scott Lutz and Ian Ally-Seals for stepping into the cast after two very last minute drops. People brought a lot of costuming bits, which really dressed up the action. And how do you fix something broken when your only appendage is a plunger?

Run 9: Conception 2012 (January 28, 2012)
Since Sue Lee had such a good time in the Intercon J run, since she made sure Jeff was well supplied with port before she asked, and since she asked very nicely, Jeff gave her a copy of all the game materials. The Conception 2012 incarnation of Collision Imminent! ran at Christchurch Dorset in the UK, powered by the Imagineerium™ staff of Sue Lee, Mik Reed, Matt Nixon and Nick Reynolds. To quote Sue: "It was a riot!" Yes, this game has rocked on more than one continent! We're excited that our creation continues onward and upward!

Run 8: Intercon J (March 13, 2010)
The Intercon J run of Collision Imminent! was organized by Jeff Diewald, Susan Giusto, Tim Lasko, Charles McCutcheon, and Barry Tannenbaum of TNT Productions. This was Jeff's eighth run of the game, and ten years after its creation, the game still rocks... We turned it loose in the morning, with some new Horde bits. (Evacuate!) With a great full crew and cast, we were having a blast all the way to the very end! As always, there were unexpected and brilliant moments that just broke us. Dan Abraham's "I'm the Doctor" couldn't have been timed more perfectly.
The GMs all had cool new tenth anniversary Collision Imminent! T-shirts, in blue and red.

The Intercon G run of Collision Imminent! was organized by Jeff Diewald, Susan Giusto, Tim Lasko, and Barry Tannenbaum of TNT Productions, along with the extra-special Uncle Don Ross. We always get a fabulous crew and horde, and this one was no exception. We just lost it several times as GMs, watching people do some brilliant things.
It was another full complement of players, where it just went all "splodey". Trey, you are magnificent! The LARP was full of mayhem and insanity, where we learned the power of a hug.

The Dexcon VII run of Collision Imminent! was organized by Lynn Anslow, Jeff Diewald and Tim Lasko. Lynn was new to running the Horde and she handled it fabulously. The New Jersey crowd had a great time playing, and there were many wonderful comments afterwards.
There was almost a full complement of crew, and we had a few more Horde drop in along the way.

Run 5: WPI SFS (November 15, 2003)
The WPI SFS run of Collision Imminent! was organized by Jeff Diewald, Tim Lasko, Josh Rachlin, Uncle Don Ross, and Alex Thorn. Mike Wixon and Conor Walsh were the WPI folks who made this run happen. The game is so well-organized at this point that we can produce it in just a couple days. We set up the ship in a ground floor classroom at Salisbury Hall. The run was smaller than we'd hoped, but there were enough people to keep the game going loud and strong, with a number of new faces.

Run 4: Ourcon XII (April 12, 2003)
The OurCon XII run of Collision Imminent! was organized by Jeff Diewald, Tim Lasko, Michael McAfee and Uncle Don Ross. It was a fine sunny late afternoon, with our smallest contingent of players. We cut a couple of the cast characters, to make sure we had a large enough horde, and learned that the game was more robust than we imagined. We want to thank Greg Walek for the assistance, patience and support it took to get the game out to UMass Amherst. We met a lot of nice people there, and we had a lot of fun.

Run 3: Arisia '03 (January 17, 2003)
The Arisia '03 run of Collision Imminent! was organized by Jeff Diewald, Tim Lasko, Michael McAfee and Mark Waks. We'd also like to thank Julie and Jordan Diewald for their assistance with building props for the game, for lugging those props to Arisia, and for helping to set up and run the game. We'd also like to thank Rebecca Kletnieks for her help in coordinating with Arisia, and for stepping in as an assistant GM when we needed some help.
This run had a full complement of characters, in what may be the oddest shaped trapezoidal room we've ever run in.

The LARP was run by the original Imagineerium™ team of John Corrado Jr., Anne Cross, Jeff Diewald, Philip Goetz, David Lichtenstein, Michael McAfee, Uncle Don Ross, Alexandra Thorn, and Mark Waks.
The first run had a full complement of characters and a wild horde. Unfortunately, we don't have the names of the players who played in the game.
