Credits

Several of us weren't going to let the pandemic stop us from writing, running, and playing LARPs. Peaky Midwest is a regular LARP writing weekend, held in various locations in the Midwest. In May 2021, they held a virtual event, allowing people to attend from all over. In the weeks leading up to the writing weekend, there were Discord discussions about potential games to write. Jennifer pitched The New Star, the original idea for Quest for Knowledge. Aslanta and Jon joined her.

We started writing on Friday, May 14th, finishing on the 16th. There was some wonderful brainstorming to start, with everyone pitching in. This was Aslanta's first LARP writing experience, and she was brilliant. Together, we produced a solid, playtestable game, in a very short amount of time.

Jon couldn't make it for the playtest the next week, so Aslanta and Jennifer had the honor of introducing our game, one of five[1] written over the weekend. We all had a lot of fun.
